This Privacy Policy explains what information F.C. Marrow, operating as MarrowMyth ("MarrowMyth", "we", "us"), collects through the website at marrowmyth.com (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. MarrowMyth is a small independent creative project, and we collect as little personal information as possible.
1. Information We Collect
Contact form. When you message us through the contact form, we collect the name, email address (optional), subject, and message you provide. This is sent directly to our email inbox so we can respond. It is not stored in a database on the Site.
Materia. When you use a Materia Engine, your chosen AI provider's API key and your story/session content are stored locally in your own browser and sent directly to the AI provider you select. MarrowMyth does not receive, store, see, or have access to your API key or your session content. (See also our Information page.)
Local browser storage. The Site stores certain preferences and settings in your browser's local storage so the Site works correctly. This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Payments. Memberships and any payments are handled by Patreon. We do not collect or store your payment card details; please see Patreon's own privacy policy for how they handle your data.
Member login. If you sign in as a member, we use Patreon to confirm your membership. Patreon provides your name and Patreon account ID so we can verify your tier. We keep this only in a secure, signed login cookie in your own browser — it is not stored in a database on the Site — and use it solely to recognize you as a member and apply member benefits (such as your commission discount). This cookie is functional, not advertising or tracking, and clears when you log out.
Analytics. We do not currently use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. Our host (Vercel) may collect standard, aggregated server logs (such as IP address and request data) to operate and secure the Site.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information you provide solely to respond to your inquiries, fulfill commissions you request, operate and secure the Site, and communicate with you about your request. We do not use it for advertising.
3. Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We only share information with service providers that help us operate (such as our email provider, our host, and Patreon), and only as needed to provide the Site, or where required by law.
4. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), the EU/UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of marketing. We do not sell or share your personal information. To exercise any right, or to ask us to delete a message you sent us, email PoweredByMateria@gmail.com.
5. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Any age-restricted material is intended for adults 18 and older. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Data Retention
We keep contact messages only as long as needed to respond and for our records, and delete them on request. Information stored in your browser remains until you clear it.
7. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
